Russ has been working with the youth with the Millport congregation for years, but accepted the position of Youth Minister of August of 2014. Russ is a native of Millport, graduating from South Lamar High School. He then attended Bevill State Community College before finishing with his Bachelors and Masters degree in accounting. He is married to the former Heather Simmons of Fayette, AL.
